We depart from the local port on our yacht, heading for Alicia Island, where we observe a colony of one-furred sea lions. The journey continues toward Bird Island, the habitat of royal and imperial cormorants. In their nests, it's possible to spot their chicks from spring to autumn. Thanks to the smaller capacity of our vessel, we achieve a closer and more personalized experience.
Later, the yacht heads east to a small island that, during certain times of the year, may have the presence of two-furred sea lions. Very close by is the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, an authentic symbol of Ushuaia, built in 1919. From this point, we will spot the island of rock cormorants.
On the return, we land on Bridges Island to walk an interpretive trail of the local flora and bird life. We will reach the highest panoramic point, from where you can observe the magnificence of the Beagle Channel with the city of Ushuaia in the distance. This island contains the largest anthropogenic Yámana shell middens in the region, a perfect place to learn more about the history of the original inhabitants of this area.
